Book Of The Week
This week's book of the week is, The Dead Ringer by Dane Bahr. A dark, atmospheric Western set in 1930s Montana. After being betrayed, beaten, and buried alive by his half-brother and partner, outlaw Benjamin Kilt miraculously survives and sets out on a brutal quest for revenge. Along the way, he rescues a young Indigenous girl, Bonnie, who becomes his companion as the story unfolds through her later reflections. Blending violence with moments of humanity, the novel explores themes of revenge, redemption, and whether good can emerge from even the darkest past.
